Kasim Reed, Mayor of Atlanta; Tracey Russell, race director of the AJC Peachtree Road Race; Becky Washburn, athlete liaison for the Shepherd Center Wheelchair Division; John Curtin, elite athlete coordinator and members of the 2012 Peachtree invited athlete and wheelchair division fields will discuss highlights of 2012

9 p.m. EDT                  Remote Start for Overseas RacesAJC Peachtree Road Race start line

Tracey Russell, race director of the AJC Peachtree Road Race and Major General William Johnson, founder of the Kuwait Division of the AJC Peachtree Road Race will remotely start the Peachtree overseas divisions which are taking place in Afghanistan, Egypt and Kuwait. More than 3,200 military personnel are expected to participate.

 

Wednesday, July 4

7:04 a.m.                Approximate time first male wheel chair division athlete will cross finish

 

7:09 a.m.                Approximate time first female wheel chair division athlete will cross finish

 

7:12 a.m.                National Anthem - Performed by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet

 

7:17 a.m.                      Professional Women's Footrace Division start

7:30 a.m.                      Professional Men's Footrace Division start and first start wave begins
