Best Sign Contest🚨
Volunteers can enter the "Best Sign Competition " by creating the most festive and/or fun encouraging signs for participants and submitting a photo via Instagram or Facebook using #ThanksgivingDayHalfSigns. We will repost the photos of your signs on our social media after race day, and the public will vote on their favorite!
The top 3 Winners will receive a $100 gift card. Be sure to follow us on Instagram at @atlantatrackclub, and like our Facebook pages at Atlanta Track Club and PNC Atlanta 10 Miler to see the top sign submissions.
To be considered for the sign contest, sign entries must be:
- Appropriate for all audiences and family-friendly, including no innuendos.
- Posted on social media by the person entering the contest within 24 hours of the event
- Posted on a public account with the designated hashtag #ThanksgivingDayHalfSigns in order to be seen
COURSE HYDRATION & COURSE MONITOR VOLUNTEERS
(Please note parking differences between course monitor and course hydration positions.)
Course volunteers are so vital! You give energy to race participants as they work to reach their goal of the finish line. Atlanta Track Club will provide some cheer items, but feel free to bring noise makers, bullhorns, and encouraging signs to energize participants as they pass. Please be sure signs and language used are appropriate.

Volunteer Check-In
Volunteer Check-In varies on your assigned area. Your crew chief should have touched base with you on your parking and meeting location. You will go directly to your crew chief to check-in and receive pertinent information and items for the day.
Please arrive early for your shift to avoid competition with participant traffic. Volunteer Check-in opens at 4:30 AM. Volunteers will receive:
- Commemorative Adidas Volunteer T-Shirt
- Food & Fluids
- "Thank You" gift
- Cheer Items
-Triple Peach gift for qualifying volunteers
- A Digital Game Day Ticket (You will receive your ticket December 1)
- Safety Vest (must be returned at the end of your shift)
- Volunteer Lanyard (must be returned at the end of your shift)
Half Marathon Course Monitor Parking (NOT COURSE HYDRATION)
Course Monitor volunteers check in directly with their crew chiefs at volunteer check-in except 5K course and hydration. You will be placed on the course and picked up once the race has ended via buses.

Bag Policy
No backpacks, coolers or bags of any kind are allowed at the start, on course or in the finish area. Anyone at the start with a bag will be asked to surrender it and its contents. All bags in the finish area will be subject to search and emptied into a clear plastic bag which we will provide. We ask that you leave bags and other extra items at home to ensure safety and security and expedite movement throughout the day.
