The sixth annual Wingfoot XC Classic is now Georgia's largest cross country race featuring Georgia's best high school and middle school runners. The event features 3K & 5K races run in the grass fields of Cartersville.

Due to COVID-19, the 2020 event will be run as team time trials. Each school will have a scheduled start time. Only one school will race at a time to limit the number of teams on site at any given time, create a safer finish line, and allow all athletes to be socially distant. This format will allow all runners an opportunity to compete and compare their performances to their teammates and competitors.

Registration

Youth and High School Registration HAS CLOSED

*The registration form is for school registration. It will ask for participant information, please fill this out with Head Coach information. Athlete entries will be completed after payment is received.

High school and middle school teams with less than 5 runners should register as individuals in the section below. Deadline for team registration is September 24, 2020. Athlete entries will be completed in Milesplit.

Individuals/Unattached Runners
Due to NFHS & GHSA regulations, unattached runners may not compete in any high school division. All high school athletes must be registered by a coach and represent their high school in order to compete. Unattached runners may only compete in the youth race. Race day registration is not available for the youth or high school races.

Use coupon code "Check" in registration. Invoices will be sent to the registered email address in late July. Payment deadline will be Thursday, September 24. Late payments will be subject to a $50 late fee per gender.

Timing & Results

The race will be chip timed, and live results will be provided throughout the event by Leone Timing.

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

COVID-19 Procedures

To ensure a safe event Atlanta Track Club has changed the format of the race and will be implementing a series of precautions based on guidelines from the CDC and medical healthcare professionals. All spectators, coaches, and athletes will be asked to:

  • Where a mask as all times, except when warming up or competing, including team areas, cheering, and moving on along the course
  • Complete the health screening and questionnaire prior to entering the venue
  • Teams will provide up to 5 representatives to assist runners after they have crossed the finish line
  • Social distancing to be observed by all participants when not competing
  • Additional sanitation stations will be provided throughout the entire venue

AWARDS

Top 3 boys and girls teams will be awarded based on the lowest cumulative time of the top 5 runners

Wingfoot Cup will be award to the teams with the lowest cumulative time of the top 7 runners across both genders

Top 10 individual boys and girls will receive a medal and event shirt

PARKING

Paid parking is available for $10 CASH ONLY per car at the race site. Additional FREE parking will be available offsite at Cartersville Primary School, Cartersville Elementary School and the Deerfield Practice Fields.

Bus parking available for FREE on site.

Limited parking is available; carpooling is encouraged.
