My running career started when…

I ran cross country my junior and senior years in high school. I was for sure not the fastest runner on the team but I really enjoyed going out and trying something new. I didn’t start running again until 2013 when I decided to run the Glass Slipper Challenge in Walt Disney World.

I joined Atlanta Track Club because…

I wanted to try and run one race a month and the Grand Prix Series presented by Piedmont Healthcare was a great way to accomplish it.

My most memorable running experience was...

Running my first half marathon in Walt Disney World. Like I said, I was not a fast runner and definitely not competitive so when I decided to sign up I surprised myself. It was so cool to run down Main Street, U.S.A. and then a truly indescribable feeling finally crossing the finish line. The entire thing was an amazing experience.

The one thing I want everyone to know about Atlanta Track Club...

Atlanta Track Club is such an inclusive running club. There is really a group for everyone. Your fellow members will become your biggest fans, cheering you on during races and training sessions. If you try running and decide power walking is more for you there will still be people to cheer you along the race course.

I run (to/for/because)…

I run to stay in shape so I can keep up with my two little boys. I know that I am keeping myself healthy but also teaching them from a young age how to be active and live a healthy life.
