Dates: Mondays and Wednesdays
Time: 5:30 p.m - 7:00 p.m. (Changing to 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. on November 8)

Competition Information

The team's regular season competitions include exhibition meets throughout the Atlanta area. Postseason competitions include USATF club meets and championship meets near and outside the Atlanta area, including USA Track & Field Youth Championships. The Georgia Middle School State Championships are a part of the regular and postseason schedule. Postseason participants must be current USATF Youth members. The USATF Youth Membership fee is $25 and separate from the team's registration fee.

Registration Information

The registration fee for the regular season is $160, postseason is $140 and $290 when you register for both seasons. Need-based scholarships can be applied for by emailing youthteam@atlantatrackclub.org To register for the Cross Country Youth Team click the link below.

COVID-19 Protocols

COVID-19 Statement

Atlanta Track Club continues to monitor news and updates surrounding COVID-19 from the Georgia Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Information from these organizations continues to guide Atlanta Track Club's COVID-19 related safety protocols.

COVID-19 Code of Conduct

Parents/guardians are encouraged to assess their child's health before each practice and competition by checking for the COVID-19 related symptoms listed below:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Masks are recommended to be worn by unvaccinated team members before practices and competitions begin and end.

Parents/guardians must stay socially distanced from team members before, during and after practices and competitions.

Team members are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer to be used during practices and competitions.

If Your Child Contracts COVID-19 and Has Symptoms
If you believe or know your child has contracted COVID-19 and has symptoms immediately contact the team coach and keep your child away from team practices and competitions for at least 10 days since their symptoms first appeared, 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving.

If Your Child Tests Positive for COVID-19 Without Symptoms
If your child tests positive for COVID-19 without showing symptoms immediately contact the team coach and keep your child away from team practices and competitions until at least 10 days have passed since they had a positive viral test for COVID-19.

If Your Child Has Been Around Someone with COVID-19
If your child has come in close contact with someone with COVID-19 immediately contact the team coach and keep them away from team practice and competitions for at least 14 days after their last exposure to that person.

Coach & Staff Bios

Nick Del Guercio, Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach

Nick Del Guercio joins the Atlanta Track Club Youth Team after serving as a Head Cross Country and Track and Field Coach at Episcopal Day School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Augusta University, where he also competed at the championship level as a member of their cross country and track and field teams. Nick's passion for running dates back to his youth and has earned him several accolades including making the Gwinnett All-County Cross Country team, being named the 2015 PBC runner of the year and a spot on Atlanta Track Club's Powerade All-Metro Cross Country Team back in 2012.

O'Neil Wright, Coach - Sprints & Jumps

After graduating from the University of Alabama in 2004, O'Neil Wright worked as an assistant coach at his alma mater, helping propel four of his athletes to All-American status. He went on to coach at the high school level, where five of his athletes earned conference championship titles and eight claimed school records. At Augsburg University and Winston State University, Wright helped his teams win four conference titles, coached 11 individual conference champions and seven All-Americans. As a professional athlete, Wright represented Jamaica at the 2008 Olympic Games as well as the 2005 and 2007 World Championships. Wright joined the Atlanta Track Club Track & Field Youth Team staff in 2019

Nora Solomon, Coach - Cross Country

Nora Solomon was a standout cross country and track and field athlete while at Marist School, placing fourth in the 2018 GHSA State Track & Field Championships 800m and finishing within the top 10 during the 2018 and '19 GHSA State Cross Country Championships. After graduating high school in 2020, Solomon earned a spot on the Davidson College track and field team where she currently focuses on distance events.

Eric Heintz, Director of High Performance

During his thirteen year tenure as Marist School's head track and field and cross country coach, Eric Heintz led his teams to win a total of 24 GHSA state championships. Marist athletes also secured 32 individual GHSA State Championships during this time. Also a history teacher at Marist, Heintz received the 2017 Goizueta Chair of Excellence recognizing innovative teaching, high standards of professional development, promotion of cross-curricular understanding and global interest and involvement in student extracurricular activities.

Justin Gaymon, Youth Programming Manager

While at the University of Georgia, Justin Gaymon captured three SEC 400m hurdle titles and was a three-time All-American. He went on to compete on the professional circuit, finishing fourth and fifth during the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Trials, respectively. Justin has been a youth team program manager since 2018.
