2020 Atlanta Hawks Fast Break 5K presented by Sharecare

Due to recent announcements regarding the COVID-19 situation and in an effort to do our part in combating the spread of the virus, the Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Track Club and Sharecare have decided to postpone the Hawks Fast Break 5K presented by Sharecare on Saturday, March 14.


The health and safety of participants, volunteers and staff continues to be our top priority as we navigate this evolving situation. A new date has not been scheduled, but Atlanta Track Club will contact all registrants once that date is determined. For Atlanta Track Club's complete statement on COVID-19, please click here.


For those of you who already have redeemed tickets to an upcoming Atlanta Hawks game or planned to, you will be able to use credit towards a select future Atlanta Hawks home game. Any questions regarding tickets redeemed for an upcoming Hawks game can be sent to Justin.Rypel@hawks.com.

TIMING & RESULTS

Unofficial results are available online the afternoon of the event. Results are made official approximately two weeks after the event, after all inquires have been processed.

Your timing device for this event is the Chronotrack single use B-tag. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your bib is:

  • Clearly visible on the front of the torso
  • Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
  • Pinned in all four corners
  • Not covered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

COURSE

Course Map - Atlanta Hawks Fast Break 5K presented by Sharecare

Course time limit:

  • 5K: 1 hour and 15 minutes (25 minute per mile pace).

    Any participant still on the course after the course time limit is reached will be asked to move to the sidewalk and will not have event services available.

    For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no pets, or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including baby joggers/strollers, roller/inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course. Headphones are strongly discouraged.

  • 5k: Ages 8 & older

NUMBER/T-SHIRT PICKUP

Number pick-up will take place the morning of the event beginning at 7:30 a.m. T-shirts will be distributed after the event.

GEAR CHECK FOR MARTA PASSENGERS

Participants utilizing MARTA to travel to/from the event are invited to check gear at Volunteer Check-in. Show your MARTA Breeze card and check your warm clothes for safe keeping until after the event. Open to MARTA passengers only.

COURTSIDE PHOTOS

Photo opportunities on the hardwood will be available BEFORE the event for a limited time, 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.. Come early and smile!

FREE RACE PHOTOS

Get official race photos in your inbox moments after you cross the finish line. Photographers will be on the course and at the finish line capturing your race. You'll also be able to find all of your photos with your results.

GAME TICKETS

Your 5K entry comes with one (1) $20 ticket voucher to use toward any Hawks home game from the time you register until the end of the regular season. Participants will receive a ticketing email roughly one week after registering with their unique voucher code and instructions for redemption. The runner's voucher may be applied towards any of the games listed below in the GAME TICKETS section.

  • 3/18 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
  • 4/7 vs. Detroit Pistons
  • 4/15 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (Vince Carter H15tory Night, final home game of the season)

Upon registration, you will be emailed a unique voucher code as well as instructions for redemption. You will be able to add additional tickets at a discounted rate when you redeem your participant ticket. If you want to ensure that you sit beside fellow runners, please coordinate your purchases or redeem your vouchers simultaneously. All tickets will be preloaded with a $10 food/beverage credit. Upon redemption, details will be emailed to you on how to access your ticket(s) through the Hawks App. Deadline to redeem your voucher is March 22, 2020

COLLEGE PARK SKYHAWKS TICKET OFFER

The College Park Skyhawks are the official G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks. The Skyhawks will play 2020 home games at the all-new Gateway Center @ College Park, a multi-purpose sports and entertainment venue with 5,000 seats for events such as concerts and convocations and 3,500 seats available for Skyhawks basketball games.   • Age Group Awards for the top three males and females in each age group for the 5K (10 & younger, 11-14, 5-year increments up to 90 & older).

MARTA

State Farm Arena is accessible via the MARTA Blue or Green lines at the Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN stop and will drop you directly at the check-in location for the event.

In order to serve all our athletes, Atlanta Track Club offers opportunities for Athletes With Disabilities (AWD). If you are an AWD and interested in participating in the event, please email awd@atlantatrackclub.org, to discuss what reasonable accommodations can be made based on your specific needs. Atlanta Track Club officials will provide reasonable accommodation to Athletes With Disabilities on an individualized and event by event basis.

PARKING

Centennial Sapphire Deck (131 Centennial Olympic Park Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30303) or the Ruby Lot.

You must be pre-registered for this event to receive free parking. Please bring the parking pass emailed to you in your participant email and display it on your dash if parking in one of these decks. If you register on race day you will not be eligible for FREE race day parking.

Atlanta Track Club signs and volunteers will help guide you from the parking deck to check-in inside Philips Arena.

EVENT SECURITY

Anyone entering the arena with a bag, including a fanny pack or race belt, will be subject to a bag check. It is highly encouraged that all bags be left at home or in your vehicle. Also, no outside food or drink is allowed inside the arena other than those given to runners at the finish of the event.
