I would like to cheer on my family and friends as they make their way down the course. Where is the best spot to watch the event?
Click hereto view the best places along the course to watch the race.

Which streets will be closed for the race, and when will they close?
In the start area, Peachtree Road will close from Peachtree-Dunwoody/Roxboro to Piedmont Road beginning at 5:30 a.m. on the morning of July 4.  See the Start Area Map for side streets in the Lenox Mall/Phipps Plaza area that will be closed on race morning.

The remainder of the course will be closed on a rolling basis beginning at 6:00 a.m. The entire course will be closed by 6:30 a.m. Once the road is closed, no private vehicles will be permitted.  No exceptions.

10th Street between Charles Allen and Monroe will be closed beginning at noon on July 3. This area will reopen after the event on the afternoon of July 4.

I'd like to be at a certain point to watch someone run the race. How can I get there?
The key to getting the best vantage point is to get there early, plan ahead, and be patient both on the way to your vantage point and when leaving.  Your best bet is to take MARTA to where you will be watching the race.

Where can I meet up with my family or friends after the event?
The best place to meet up with family and friends after the event is in the Family Meeting Area located in Piedmont Park near the Park Tavern.  Alphabetically arranged balloons will be located in the Family Meeting Area to help you determine an appropriate spot to meet up with your family and friends.
