Masters Represent at The World Masters Outdoor Championships in Finland

Atlanta Track Club had great performances at The World Masters Athletics Outdoor Championship in Tampere, Finland, representing the USA. The Championships took place from June 29 2022-July 10, 2022. The Championship consisted of road, track, and cross country. We had several masters competing in all events.

Notably, on the distance side, Dave Glass finished third overall and first for the USA in the 75-79 10K road race. The USA 60s and 75s teams won their respective Cross Country 6K. Jerry Learned was a part of the second-place finish for the USA M70 team cross country title.

On the track and in his first World Masters Outdoor Championship appearance, Durran Dunn captured the bronze medal in the M40 100m in a season best of 10.86 and silver in the 200m in 22.44. Ronderick Parker took home two silver medals in the men's M35 100m in 10.50 and the 200m in 21.95. The M35 was a photo finish race with only .01 seconds between the first and second place contender. Atlanta Track Club master Ian Weakly competed in the M45 and earned silver in the 400h (57.11).

On the women's side, Inga McIntyre competed in the W40 100m and 200m. McIntyre finished 9th in the 100m final with a time of 12.61 and 3rd in her heat with a time of 26.90. For more information and results, click here.
