In 2022, Atlanta's Marathon Weekend returns to Atlanta with the Publix Atlanta Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K. Held for the third year on a new course that takes you past some of Atlanta's most important monuments, stadiums and neighborhoods, the Publix Atlanta Marathon Weekend of events will show participants from near and far why Atlanta is Running City USA.

Race Day Registration

No race day registration is available, but individuals can register at the Atlanta's Marathon Weekend Experience on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 24, 25 and 26. Hours and location information coming soon.

Timing & Results

Unofficial results available online the afternoon of the event. Results are made official approximately two weeks after the event, after all inquires have been processed.

Your timing device for this event is the Chronotrack single use B-tag. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your bib is...

  • Clearly visible on the front of the torso
  • Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
  • Pinned in all four corners
  • Not covered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

Will Call

Buy online during race registration. The deadline to purchase Will Call is February 22 at 11:59 pm.

Will Call Number Pickup will take place from 5:30 a.m. - 6:45 a.m. race morning.

Your number will not be available at Will Call on race morning unless you have purchased this option. If you do not purchase Will Call, your number will only be available at race number pickup on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Switching Races

Participants in the marathon and half marathon may switch to a shorter distance. There is no upgrading to longer distances available. You may switch distances by visiting the Solutions counter at America's Marathon Weekend Experience. There will be no refunds given. Those switching events on race morning will be disqualified and removed from the results.

Weather Policy

Atlanta Track Club events are held rain or shine. However, the threat of lightning or other severe weather in the vicinity of the event may result in a delay or cancellation. For full details on our event policies, including weather, refunds and cancellations, click here.

MARTA

We encourage all participants to take MARTA on race morning to avoid traffic delays due to race related street closures. Rail service start times for Americas Marathon Weekend are as follows:

  • Saturday, February 26, 2020 service will begin at 5:50 a.m.
  • Sunday, February 27, 2020 service will be begin at 4:00 a.m.

The frequency will be as follows: both days and both lines (N/S & E/W) will be on a 20 minute headway. Trains will run every 10 minutes between Lindbergh and the Airport. Extra trains will be inserted as needed The extra trains will decrease the headways from 20 to 12 minutes (and 6 minutes between Lindbergh and Airport) during peak periods.

Parking

If MARTA is not an option, there is ample parking in and around the Centennial Olympic Park area. Below are just a few of our partners.

  • American Cancer Society, click here. $20 parking Saturday, $10 parking Sunday for runners and participants. Address is 250 Williams Street, Atlanta, GA 30303

Gear Check

Gear check will be available on race morning starting at 5:30 a.m. If you plan to check gear, please tear the gear check tag from the top of your race number and attach it to the bag provided to you at race number pickup. Items placed in bags other than the clear ones received at number pickup will not be accepted for gear check. Atlanta Track Club is not responsible for lost or missing bags. All checked gear must be picked up from the gear check tent by 2:00 p.m. on race day. Any remaining bags will be taken to Atlanta Track Club's office and made available for pick-up during regular office hours beginning on Monday, February 28. Items from unclaimed bags will be donated to local shelters after Friday, March 4.

Pace Team

The Publix Atlanta Marathon & Half Marathon Pace Team is here to help you achieve your goals at the event. Pace Team leads will run even splits at the pace indicated next to the finish times. Run/walk intervals will be offered for some of the pace groups (specific interval details will be forthcoming).

Streakers are defined as participants who have completed any distance of the Publix Atlanta Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K from 2007 to the present. Streakers must have valid results in the race they registered for and finish within the course limit to be eligible the following year. If you are a streaker and do not see your name on the list, please contact registration@atlantatrackclub.org.

Athletes with Disabilities

In order to serve all our athletes, Atlanta Track Club offers opportunities for Athletes with Disabilities (AWD). If you are an AWD and interested in participating in Publix Atlanta Marathon, Half Marathon or 5K, please email awd@atlantatrackclub.org, to discuss what reasonable accommodations can be made based on your specific needs. Atlanta Track Club officials will provide reasonable accommodation to Athletes with Disabilities on an individualized and event by event basis.

Awards

Overall and Masters awards are based on gun time and Grandmasters are based upon net time. Overall, including Masters and Grandmasters winners are not eligible for age group awards.

Award ceremonies will begin at the following times on race day:

GROUP REGISTRATION

The Publix Atlanta Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K Group Registration Program supports running clubs, corporations, training groups and others by providing additional race benefits.
