Why is the AJC Peachtree Road Race being held virtually in 2020?
When Atlanta Track Club made the decision to postpone the AJC Peachtree Road Race to Thanksgiving Day, it did so in consultation with medical experts, public safety officials and city leaders. All believed that a late fall race offered the best chance for an in-person Peachtree. As the summer has progressed, there continues to be too many uncertainties concerning COVID-19 to hold a mass participation event. Following much discussion around contingencies, it became clear that a Virtual Running of the AJC Peachtree Road Race was not only the safest option, but the one that allowed the most Peachtree traditions to be preserved.
What is the time frame for completing my 10K?
You must complete your 10K and submit your results between 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, November 26 and 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 29. After initial feedback from participants, this window has been extended beyond its original 24-hour period.
